All operable and fixed windows are installed into a window sub-frame in any given combination for both punched and strip window design.

Window Specification

Blast Performance

    • All window types tested to meet GSA Level D requirements of Peak Load of 10psi and Impulse load of 90psi
    • Test data available that shows all windows capable of withstanding much higher blast loads. (Test data available upon request)

Air, water and Thermal Performance

    • All window types tested for the above to British Standard Air and Water Test BS6375 Part 1 which exceeds current AAMA standards.

Window Features

    • All profiles are thermally broken by use of rolled in thermal brake
    • Window systems are designed to accommodate varying thicknesses of monolithic glass and insulated units
    • 3” Overall frame depth (Based on 1” insulated glass units. Overall frame depth can be varied according to glass unit thickness)
    • 2 ¼” sightline to window perimeter sub-frame
    • 2 ½” sightline to window sash

Blast Mitigation Curtain Wall Products

McMullen offers a full custom blast mitigation design, fabrication and installation service for curtain wall.

All previously detailed operable windows can be installed into the curtain wall daylight openings to achieve the required operable/fixed configuration.

Curtain Wall Specification

Blast Performance

    • All curtain walls designed to meet GSA Level D requirements of Peak Load of 10psi and Impulse load of 90psi

Air, Water and Thermal Performance

    • All window types tested for the above to British Standard Air and Water Test BS6375 Part 1 which exceed current AAMA standards.

Curtain Wall Features

    • All profiles are thermally broken by application of thermal isolator gasket along back member ‘gun sight’
    • Curtain wall systems designed to accommodate varying thicknesses of monolithic glass and insulated units
    • Maximum overall curtain wall frame depth of 11 5/8” based on 9” back member profile
    • Minimum overall curtain wall frame depth of 7 ½” based on 4 15/16” back member profile
    • Curtain wall frame width of 3”
