The MIT Media school now has a building to match its progressive reputation! We are proud to have designed, engineered, tested and fabricated this highly customize project which has the following technical achievements as its key features: • Super tall curtain walls with as much as 35 feet in one single span • Exterior catwalks in front of curtain walls supported by steel outriggers, anchored back to slab edges. • Catwalk outriggers penetrating curtain wall at mullion centers. Air seals designed to accommodate effects of floor movement between outrigger and curtain wall mullions • Curtain wall accommodates multi point locking glass vents and terrace doors installed on every floor • All curtain wall delivered to field in 2 floor high double ladder assemblies to facilitate quick and efficient installation.
