Boston University NIEDL Building (National Institute of Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories)South Boston MA
This exciting bio-science project seated in the heart of South Boston, was developed by Boston University in partnership with the National Institute of Health and the Department of Homeland Defense.
It plays a critical role in the research of potential threats to the US of infectious diseases whether naturally occurring or introduced through terrorism. For this project, we are proud to have designed, engineered and fabricated 12,000 Square Feet of high performance curtain wall, window and doors. It is worth noting that the specification not only required our systems to offer a high level of protection under extreme blast load, but also exceptional thermal performance to meet the rigorous requirements of working laboratory conditions.
