We are extremely proud to have designed, engineered and fabricated this breath taking custom skylight and curtain wall system as part of the re-generation of West Brooklyn. In addition to superb aesthetics, our glazing systems offer blast protection to some 350,000 New York  commuters that pass through this terminal every day. The application of 3D CAD software by our in-house engineers played a critical role in achieving the ‘clam shell’ appearance required for the skylight. Note that in this skylight,  every lite slopes on two planes and has a unique pattern. Sweeping from the entrance canopy to roof level are 30 bays of 30 feet high clear span segmented blast mitigation curtain wall. Custom designed and engineered stainless steel brackets anchor a full length vertical glass ‘fin’ to every mullion on this wall.  Rarely do we have the opportunity to apply our architectural glazing design and blast mitigation experience to such a public structure.
