Blast protection under extreme blast loads
BPS-F80SG curtain wall is a unique 4 sides SSG factory glazed stick system designed and tested to provide high levels of blast protection. All security components are concealed within the pre-finished and thermally broken curtain wall system. This unique blend of protection, performance and aesthetics enables the design team to incorporate a high level of safety into the building envelope whilst retaining the outward appearance of standard commercial glazing.

  • Engineered for blast loads up to 680kPa/666kPa-msec (10psi/98psi m-sec) ‘Low Hazard’ rating

    • ENVIRONMENTAL
  • Tested and certified for air/water/structural/seismic to both UK and US standards
  • High thermal performance guaranteed by incorporation of polyamide thermal break into framing system
    • DESIGN
  • Accommodates glass units up to 2” thick
  • Various system depth ranging from 8 1/2” to 12 1/2”
  • Available in standard or custom finishes
  • Mullion sightlines (visible from interior): 3”
  • Insert vents accommodated if required
    • INSTALLATION
  • Glazed units and factory bonded to carrier frames
  • Curtain wall delivered to site in for assembly or in factory assembled ladders
  • Glass carrier frames are site installed into openings and are mechanically secured from exterior. No structural bond application required at installation
  • Exterior weather seal / gasket applied between glass units upon completion
